A new release of ORBITRAX.WIN (version 7.2.28) has been issued on 18/03/2013. This new release includes several new features, as well as the new MOB Mobile Telephone Development, allowing "REAL-TIME" shipment status information and pods. The Development Team has successfully completed the first release of the Mobile (MOB) Telephone development. In the MOB project, we decided to:
- first develop MOB with "limited functionalities",
- then test MOB with these "limited functionalities" in real business
situation, - then invest more resources for further developments step by
step.
The first release of MOB (designed to test technology / flows) is covering:
- Transfer of Delivery Sheets from ORBITRAX of VXLWHO to MOB,
- Transfer of PODs & SSRs from MOB to ORBITRAX of VXLWHO
- Visualisation of position of Drivers on Google map.
The future / logical flow will be that data should be transferred (not from Delivery Sheets but) from Despatch Module (as it is the Despatchers which are managing Drivers).
As a result, the above "shortcut" (from Delivery Sheets to MOB) is only
to test data flow as well as comfort of use by Drivers and to receive
feedback from Drivers.
This developemnt will enable members to provide their customers with "REAL-TIME" Pods and shipment status. |

This new feature will enable both our Members and the staff of WQXS to reduce the administration work involved with the Supplies (receiving order, preparing order, invoicing order, etc ...).
